Workshop “Risk Assessment and Communication in Food Safety and Nutrition”

 The Center for Studies in European and International Affairs, within the framework of its research pillar “Agro-food Sustainability: Nutrition and Safety”, organises a workshop on the topic “Risk Assessment and Communication in Food Safety and Nutrition”, which will take place on Thursday, 6 October 2016, at the Auditorium of Parma University Campus at 9.30 AM.

 

The workshop will deal with some of the most innovative aspects in the field of risk assessment, focusing, in particular, on those notions and knowledge which are necessary in order to successfully tackle present and future challenges in the food safety sector.

 

The workshop will feature among invited speakers: Prof. Jan Alexander (Norwegian Institute of Public Health), Aedin Cassidy (Norwich Medical School), Piersandro Cocconcelli (University of Sacred Heart of Milan), Dominique Parent-Massin (University of Brest), David Spiegelhalter (University of Cambridge) and Johanna Zilliacus (Karolinska Institutet).

 

Functionaries of the European Food Safety Authority will also attend the workshop: Bernhard Url (Executive Director), Hans Verhagen (Head of Unit, Risk Assessment and Scientific Advice) and Alberto Spagnolli (Senior Officer, Executive Directorate).
